"When the lights come back on, you're surrounded by vending machines"

According to some of you, my last blog post was some kind of subtle announcement that Marble Hornets is now over. Come on, you silly heads, that's not true. You'll know when it's over, don't worry.

The next entry has been shot and is being edited right now. I can't really talk about how it went without spoiling anything or talking about things you've already heard. I guess all I can say is that, looking at what we shot, there's a feeling of "getting back to our roots" here. Take that however you will.

Hopefully we'll be shooting this coming weekend as well. I'm nearing the finish line for my internship hours, so we'll be able to pick up the rate of production soon, I'd say. The weekend after that, we'll be driving up to Nashville to meet with the GMX people. We'll probably have some downtime, so if anyone from the area has any suggestions on things to do, let us know!

Also, thanks to everyone who showed up for my impromptu chat, and Let's Play of Nightmare House 2 over on my ustream channel this past weekend. Despite my eventual whining about the game itself, it was fun to talk with all of you. I'm sure I'll be doing it again soon.

Post-Game

Thanks to all of you for the compliments on Entry #43! It turned out very close to how both Joseph and I envisioned it. There's a few things that I maybe should have changed when editing, namely the slightly slower than expected pacing, but other than that I'm very proud of it. I feel like it finally married together story and "action", which is what I've gathered people have been wanting for a while now.

Originally, it was different in almost every way. I had written the script for it on my own, and kind of at the last minute. The day we were supposed to shoot it, Joseph had a few changes to the script he wanted to do. As we talked about it, these small changes ended up becoming bigger changes. Then those bigger changes became script rewrites. Then by the time everything was all said and done, we had a whole new script. It took up more time on our shooting day, which lead to a more stressful time constraint, but we pulled it off. About an hour to spare, too!

Which is good, because otherwise Joseph might not have done his highwire act:
